Rick Santorum launched his presidential campaign yesterday, just to go unreported by the national print medium. A look at today’s web sites of the New York Times, Washington Post, and even the Philadelphia Inquirer does not indicate coverage.
And for good reason. For those of us who had to suffer through a 20 second sound bite on yesterday’s evening news, all that Santorum did was spew vicious accusations concerning the competency of President Barack Obama without a scintilla of evidence to back up his claims. Santorum makes Sarah Palin seem erudite and fair!
We were inclined to give Santorum a second look on the basis of his guts and fortitude. But he ain’t no Arlen Specter! In short, he’s a boob.
