Sales are back at J.C. Penney

WASHSINGTON POST:  In January, J.C. Penney made a radical announcement: No more sales.

Eleven months later, in an effort to lure Black Friday shoppers, the beleaguered company held its first sale of the year.

“It is very much in jeopardy,” Brian Sozzi, an analyst at NBG Productions, said of the company. “I’ll be honest — I don’t see almost any chance of them having a good holiday season. It’s just about surviving the holidays.” …  (more)

 EDITOR:   We forsaw disaster.  How could they be so foolish as to not to understand that shopping for bargains is both a task and a pleasure for most women?  Men, and possibly career women, tend to be loyal to one source provided they also offer bargains at the end of the season.
