Residents against streetcars

The residents of Lancaster need to come out en masse to protest against yet another dismal failure.  What is happening and how is it happening?

I, for one, intend to go door to door with a petition and get an idea of how the residents of Lancaster City are thinking about the proposed streetcar.

Meanwhile, our library and our own Lancaster Museum of Art (who cannot move forward with their move due to lack of funds) are trying their best, and in a reasonable, thoughtful way, to manage until they are in a better position financially to move ahead.  This is not rocket science but common sense.

Oh, but not ole’ tricky Rick…..from one scheme to another.  And now we also have the possibility of losing “gallery row” I might imagine, as Dennis Cox has set an unbelievable price of $2.5 million on the four or five buildings he owns on Prince Street.  Wasn’t that long ago he bought the former Book Haven building for approx. $85,000.  There was extensive work done but it all benefited the business……..I feel badly for the gallery owners who are occupying his properties…while Mr. Cox stated the sale will not mean the end of gallery row, who can afford a half million plus for a row home?
