The Republicans have replaced the incompetent RNC led by mistake prone Michael Steele with a Karl Rove led 527 and 501(c)(4), American Crossroads. It will do the nuts and bolts of campaigns that the RNC usually does but can take unlimited sized donations from individuals and corporations as well as keep donations anonymous.
Will the Obama DOJ take the actions we suggest to stop the corruption of elections? Will the FEC do anything? This new approach could make political parties much less important, unfortunately while increasing the power of concentrated corporate interests. I’m no fan of the duopoly parties but less of a fan of hidden funding of elections by the economic elite and corporations.
