Rep. Sturla’s letter enlightens New Era editors

Your Aug. 31, editorial decrying a proposal to have municipalities that shirk their responsibility to provide police protection for their residents was grossly inaccurate, to put it mildly.

As the late Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan was famous for saying, “You are entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts.”
