Reflecting upon the Harvard Business School Reunions

How do women who dropped out of the work force feel about attending their 25th business school anniversary to gather with classmates, many who now are captains of industry and major political figures?

These women chose to concentrate on marriage and the raising of children.  Often they are the ones who volunteer time,  expertise and leadership  to local not-for-profit organizations and ‘churches.’  But their local contributions offer small comfort when sitting across from a billionaire or a national leader.

The lectures are interesting.  It is good to get together with a few old friends.   But for many women (and some male classmates), this is a bitter sweet experience.

It isn’t necessarily a bowl of cherries for their non-Harvard graduate husbands either, in part depending on their alma mater.
