QUOTE OF THE WEEK: Keith Orris, F&M vice-president, referring to the agreement between F&M and Norfolk-Southern that requires a release of liability as a pre-condition for the Rail Yard relocation: “The liability release is not required under the agreement. It is simply a goal.” (Quoting from Lancaster Newspapers story, “More questions on rail yard project” by Bernard Harris, published May 18, 2010)
Note that the last paragragh of the LNP article doesn’t include the amount of the Taxpayers’ contribution.
The taxpapers’ contribution for the relocation of the Rail Yard is $33 million.
Some day we will take back our government and stop allowing millions of dollars to be spent for private gain.
Within the near future there will be no underpasses on Dillerville road except the main Amtrak line bridge( which is the only one the state really rebuilt). F & M will build the connecting streets to link Harrisburg Pike to Manheim Pike. and what is still there of the Armstrong Plant will go away.
I hope I’m wrong; lets wait and see!!!
