We too hastily published the message given to one of our newsletter distributors that the Lancaster County Prison did not provide methadone for inmates with a prescription for the medicine.
This is incorrect. The prison policy is to provide methadone to those with prescriptons. We should have corroborated the accusation by first contacting the authorities.
Fortunately the story was only up for an hour or two. But this is an embarrassing error on our part, hopefully we learned from it, and the editor takes full responsibility and most sincerely apologizes.
