Lancaster, PA (January 12, 2010) The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce a new online feature for the Lancaster County Prescription Drug Discount Card Program that is already available to Lancaster County residents. Now county residents have the convenient option to print a card directly from the Web, for immediate use at any participating pharmacy.
“We launched this program to help consumers cope with the high price of prescriptions,” said Commissioner Scott Martin. “This enhancement provides easy access to the prescription discount card program for our residents that want to save money on prescriptions that are not covered by insurance”.
“This program has already saved County residents more than $150,000 on over 8,500 prescription medications,” said Commissioner Dennis Stuckey. “We hope that the convenience of this online feature will enable all residents who could benefit from the program, to receive a savings.”
“This new enhancement enables residents to print a card at their convenience, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week online,” said Commissioner Craig Lehman. “However, residents may still also pick up a card at any one of our partnering locations.” A full list of locations can be found on the County’s website at www.co.lancaster.pa.us.
To print a live ID card, County residents can visit www.caremark.com/naco. Savings are available immediately at any participating pharmacy.
Obtaining the card is easy. To print a card online, residents should:
- Access www.caremark.com/naco and select “Print a card”
- Utilize the map tool to enter the zip code or select the relevantstate and county
- Select next and the ID card is generated for printing
- Use the card immediately at any participating pharmacy
