I am guilty of not attending the convention center meetings. If so I would have asked just what you asked, what do they do for these salaries? I am very surprised at Nelson or any board member granting these raises. Has anyone ever asked to have a job description done for each of them? My business is small however I have a job description for my assistant and my receptionist, item by item….
I sincerely give credit to the sitting county commissioners. The position that is being liquidated is not needed with this board. They are experienced to handle the business at hand.
Attending the meetings regularly is a real eye opener. They are open and transparent, even at the town meetings. They take notes, answer questions and the public appreciates that. Putting politics aside, they are doing a great job: FISCAL all the way as I see it.
