Poll indicates public favors State Store sale

WILKES-BARRE TIMES LEADER:  …Released on Tuesday, a poll conducted by pollster FM3 for the Commonwealth Foundation showed more than three out of five Pennsylvania voters favor ending government sale of wine and liquor.

Those surveyed in every one of the state’s six geographic regions except Philadelphia supported the privatization of the state-run system. Only Utah and Pennsylvania still have state-run monopolies on liquor sales.

Broken down by registration, 71 percent of Independents, 69 percent of Republicans and 52 percent of Democrats supported the measure… (more)
