THE HILL: A new Gallup poll released Friday found an overwhelming majority of Republicans opposed to any increase in the federal debt limit.
Seventy percent of Republicans surveyed said they want their member of Congress to oppose a debt-limit increase, compared to just 8 percent in support.
Overall, Gallup found 47 percent of Americans opposed to an increase in the debt ceiling, with just 19 percent in favor of one. Another 34 percent said they don’t know enough about the issue to register an opinion… (more)
