Pennsylvania names first director of medical-marijuana office

PITTSBURGH GAZETTE:  The man picked to lead Pennsylvania’s medical-marijuana program, John J. Collins, will bring experience in public and private health services when he starts the job Monday…

He will be paid $76,519 a year, according to the department. The program’s rollout will include licensing as many as 25 grower-processor operations and 150 dispensary locations statewide. Health officials also are meeting with clinicians as they craft regulations, with a physician work-group meeting set for next week…  (more)
