Penn Manor overpaid past board president for land

Penn Manor just spent $3.6 million, $87,000 per acre to purchase the land for future school buildings just off of Charlestown Road.  The owner of the land is a past president of the SCHOOL BOARD and just happened to want to sell, informing the board that a developer was interested and the school owning it would be much better than a developer building apartments buildings.

There is not a developer to my knowledge paying $87,000 an acre for land.  It is outrageous and the whole board should resign, or at least those members that voted in favor of this expenditure.
