It was a fairly large disappointment when Gov. Tom Corbett stuffed his Marcellus Shale Advisory Commission with energy industry reps and campaign contributors.
This is the body, after all, that will advise him on best practices for an industry not at all interested in safety regulations that might inconvenience them or cost them money.
But it pales beside putting a known polluter in charge of the state Department of Community and Economic Development, and then giving that one man authority to nix regulation and enforcement actions by the state Department of Environmental Protection…
