According to the “Financial Summary of Amount Generated from the Lancaster County Hotel Room Rental Tax and the Lancaster County Hotel Excise Tax” report through April by Craig Ebersole, County Treasurer, total revenue dropped slightly from $1,308,002 in 2010 to $1,294,777 during the first four months of the year.
This does not bode well for the Convention Center Project finances which had projected a gradual increase of revenues as the economy was expected to recover from recession. Somewhat offsetting the disappointing tax revenue has been the unexpectedly low interest rates for servicing of debt.
