An editorial opens “U. S. Rep. Joe Pitts raised some eyebrows with his recent vote against a 13-week extension of unemployment benefits. Pitts was alone in his opposition among members of the Pennsylvania delegation.”
It concludes: “Pitts is due to face nominal opposition in his re-election bid next year…Even so, Pitts should be applauded for sticking to his principles when he could have done what was politically popularly (sic).”
