Netanyahu: Obama Broke His Commitment to Us

NEWSMAX:  Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu voiced clear displeasure with President Barack Obama’s mideast policy speech in a response he released before his trip to Washington.

“Israel appreciates President Obama’s commitment to peace,” the response began, curtly. “Israel believes that for peace to endure between Israelis and Palestinians, the viability of a Palestinian state cannot come at the expense of the viability of the one and only Jewish state.”

“That is why Prime Minister Netanyahu expects to hear a reaffirmation from President Obama of U.S. commitments made to Israel in 2004, which were overwhelmingly supported by both Houses of Congress.” …  (more)

EDITOR:  We suspect that President Obama is better serving the interests of Israel than Prime Minister Netanyahu.  Israel is sitting on a demographic time bomb with the Arab population within a decade or so growing to outnumber the Jewish population.   Unless it is to adopt apartheid as did South Africa until two decades ago (some would argue it already has), it will cease to be a Jewish state.  Now may be the time to cut the deal with the Palestinians and the members of the Arab world.

  1. Of course Obama knows what is better for Israel than the elected leaders of the state. I mean, he has so much successful international experience. He got that working as a democrat organizer in Chicago. Mr. Field, you post hilarious personal comments on the site. Thank you for the good laugh this dreary Friday morning.

  2. To the commentator: And Republican Ronald Regan was the best President in history because he made 50 movies. ?And Arnie the best Governor because he did the same? And George W. Bush was “the best friend Israel ever had” because he fully understood the complex history of the region and therefore appointed Ariel Sharon as the best person to represent American interests in the region?

There are lots of things laughable but what is not funny at all is the situation in Palestine and the end of the peace process. Diplomacy has utterly failed and that is a tragedy for everyone. Now we argue over who is to blame as if the most important thing to do in any crisis is to find out who we can point the finger at. The world can go to hell and everyone will rejoice because we have all figured out who is to blame. If it were not so terrible it would be the funniest thing that ever happened . . and the last.
