MSNBC

On “Good morning Joe” (or something like that), Richard Haas, formerly of the State Department,  defended Richard Steele, Republican Party leader, for his statement that Afghanistan was now Barack Obama’s war, on the basis that under George W. Bush it was a limited action with limited goals while under Obama’s the forces have been enlarged  and the criteria has become to “take the war to the Taliban” (Barack Obama)  and to develop a strong central government.

Concerning the devastating gang wars along the Mexican border and endemic corruption of Mexico’s police and local governments, Pat Buchannan concurred with Mexico’s president that the cause was demand for drugs from the USA.   Buchannan  said we can either kill all illegal users or legalize narcotics, there is no middle choice.

WATCHDOG: Only watched MSNBC on a couple of occasions and that was while working out during travels.  The morning discussion among six highly knowledgeable individuals with various political views and backgrounds  is among the best programming on television.   A wag of the tail!

P. S.  Two wags of a tail for Buchannan on the War on Drugs.  We’ll opt for the latter choice.

  1. I agree that the “Morning Joe” show is one of the best morning news/discussion shows on TV. It’s even better when Joe Scarborough is on the set. Mika Brzezinsk advocates as effectively for the liberal point of view as Scarborough does for the conservative angle.
