Instead of building a four story police fortress on the corner of Prince and Chestnut, why didn’t city leaders place a couple of smaller precincts in CRIME RIDDEN AREAS of the city? The mere presence of police can and does make a difference yet why doesn’t the city target areas with increase presences?
No I am not talking about merely riding around in their air conditioned cars but actually interacting with the residence of these areas so they can learn more! It’s easier to wring their hands and whine about how they don’t have money while they squander the money they do get with silly ‘economic development’ projects.
How long would Park City last if they ran tractor trailers through the parking lot and put meters in all the spaces?!? Yet that’s what they do in the city and they wonder why no one wants to come downtown!
Sigh….
