Misconduct board argues AG Kane’s law license should remain suspended

WALKILEAKS / AP: The office that investigates misconduct by lawyers is arguing that Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane waited too long to complain about state Supreme Court Justice Michael Eakin’s participation with four other justices in suspending Ms. Kane’s law license last fall.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel filed an 18-page response Wednesday, saying justices should deny Ms. Kane’s request that her suspension be lifted over Justice Eakin’s role.

The high court voted unanimously in September to suspend Ms. Kane, who’d just been charged with criminal violations for allegedly leaking secret grand jury material and lying about it under oath… (more)

EDITOR:   Seems like a desperation move by the misconduct board to avoid taking responsibility for its irresponsible investigations of both Judge Eakin and Attorney General Kathleen Kane. The tide may soon be turning and the accusers will become the defenders.  It is not by accident that the Pennsylvania judicial system is consider one of the most corrupt in the nation.

  1. This is a complex issue with all kinds of stuff good and bad going on with her. We desperately need public trial and a jury to determine the truth.

  2. This attack on Kane is a thinly veiled attempt to cover up the pedophiles involved with Jerry Sandusky. I will definitely vote for her over any one on the ticket.

  3. Legislators who pass laws do not have to be attorneys nor do those who execute the law. Ie, Sheriffs, Magistrates, Governors. Police, Judges, Federal and State, Presidents or even justices of the Supreme Court need not be licensed attorneys.

  4. PA AG Kathleen Kane of PA has enormous support among voters for her ethical stands against pornography. Names of her ‘enemies’ are being circulated on social media. We expect to see her license reinstated with incentives (fines against the opposition).

  5. The misconduct board has a double standard. They ignore many attorneys and judges in family court complaints about their misconduct. Hmmmmmmm Does the word Bias come to mind? What I have seen personally is what is good for the goose is not good for the gander.
