  1. I, as a parent of a graduating senior, am shocked at their choice for graduation speaker. After making 4 years of payments to the school, I feel I deserve better. I know my child deserves better. I feel as if the audience will be held against their will and forced to listen to a politician with his record. I would prefer no speaker at all to a politician.

Should the students choose to protest in a peaceful and mature manner, I too will join them from the audience. I suspect there may be other parents and relatives who will participate.

While I can’t remember what politician spoke at my college graduation 30 years ago, I’m sure my child won’t forget theirs.
