LETTER: Paul Ware bemoans losses to his foundation caused by institution he headed

  1. Good thing it’s free. Last time I contributed to something by Veri & Jamanis, it cost my foundation millions.

    Sincerely yours,
    Paul Ware

EDITOR: Paul Ware was the Chairman of the Board of the Pennsylvania Academy of Music (PAM) and as such the overseer of its budget and expenditures. We understood that Ware was released from his personal guarantees of millions in loans to PAM when Millersville University paid a very generous price for the PAM property. Millions in donations were lost by contributors, including the Field Family.

  1. Are we supposed to have sympathy for him? Caveat emptor.

As far as I am concerned, he is one of the people who should have known better than to push forward a $15-$20 million dollar project based on $40-$50/hour music lessons. What kind of morons would approve of such a project or pledge money towards it?

By the way, while it is not often mentioned, the County p*@sed away $1 million in donations, of our money, towards that ridiculous project.
