Law changes but prisoners remain

Earlier this year, the racist crack/ powder sentencing disparity was reformed under the Fair Sentencing Act. Unfortunately, none of the thousands of folks currently serving exorbitantly long sentences will benefit from the changes as it is not retroactive.

President Obama can help the injustice by using his clemency powers. So far he has not granted a single commutation.
