Lancaster newspapers herald economic recovery

Not necessarily by what they have to report or opine, but by their weight!

If they didn’t publish the Sunday News in two installments, the Watchdog might develop back trouble just picking it up off the front porch.   Also, the daily editions each day are replete with advertisements, circulars and insertions.

Even though national retail sales dropped over one percent in May, local and national merchants must sense recovery.  Such optimism tends to be self fulfilling.  Or at least that is what we hope!
