According to editorial “Cautionary tale for politicians”:

Former State Rep. Mike Veon’s second guilty verdict in as many years puts an exclamation point on the state attorney general’s ongoing public corruption investigation that began as “Bonusgate.”…

Prosecutors say this, and it’s true: The Veon case, among others being prosecuted by the AG’s office, serves as a cautionary message for politicians who would consider using their clout to abuse the public trust.

WATCHDOG: So far mostly Democrat legislators have been investigated and convicted by Republican attorney generals.  If a Democrat AG is elected in November, we can expect to seem further investigations and we suspect they will make what has been disclosed so far appear penny ante.
