The review of the Sandusky case essentially cleared Corbett, the Philadelphia district attorney embarrassed her by bringing charges in a political bribery case that Kane had abandoned, and then she became the target of the grand jury investigation…
“Anybody that’s had the negative press that she has had is going to be vulnerable,” said Rob Gleason, chairman of the state GOP. “I can’t give you any names, but there are people who have shown interest, and usually there is limited interest against an incumbent.”… (more)
Article says Corbett was cleared, uh, not really. She couldn’t find evidence to prove the shenanigans of Corbett and his lapdog prosecutors but, when the PSU officials charged by them are vindicated, the whole Corbett circus tent is going to deflate considerably.
I think one of the reasons for lack of evidence was Corbett and his henchmen using “private” emails which they deleted.
The charges against Kane are trumped up frumpery from GOP flacks still butt hurt over having their porno stashes made public.
