Joe Scarborough Says Leader Vacuum Could Suck Him Back in to Politics

From NEWSMAX:

Joe Scarborough, the former Florida Republican congressman who now hosts “Morning Joe” on MSNBC, says he may run for office again. “We have more influence doing the show,” he tells Parade magazine, Politico reports. “There are 435 members of Congress. There’s one ‘Morning Joe’ show.”

But “an absence of leadership” could pull him back into political life, says the man who left Congress in 2001, early in his fourth term, to spend more time with his family. “The same thing that had me run the first time, in 1994, when I felt the country was veering off dangerously in the wrong direction.”

Scarborough certainly sounds ready to run. “If Washington continues to fumble issues like taking care of the debt, getting the troops home, and rebuilding our economy, my wife and I may sit down and say, ‘These are critical things and maybe we need to get back in.'”
