Joe Scarborough: Republicans Can Pass Gun Control Or Lose House In Two Years

HUFFINGTON POST:   Joe Scarborough predicted on Wednesday that the Republican party would lose its majority in the House of Representatives if it does not pass gun control reform.

President Obama announced twenty-three executive actions on gun violence on Wednesday, following the tragic deaths of twenty-six victims at Sandy Hook Elementary School in December. Some of the administration’s proposals — including mandatory background checks and an assault weapons ban — will will have to go through Congress.

Joe Scarborough joined Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC after Obama’s speech on Wednesday. He criticized Republicans for being what he said was out of touch with Americans, an assertion he has made before, as well as the NRA…  (more)

EDITOR:  Scarborough was incensed that the NRA, which he described as led by a fringe element, was misinforming, misleading and misrepresenting the views of the vast bulk of its membership. He was a three term conservative Republican U. S. Congressman from Central Florida and has long be a spokesperson for Republican values, disputing issues with co-host liberal Mika Brzezinski.
