It’s official: Drexel University Names Fry As New President

From PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3):

The president of Franklin & Marshall College is stepping down to take the helm of Drexel University.

Drexel officials announced Wednesday that John Fry will lead the private Philadelphia university, which serves about 22,000 students.

Fry has served as president of Franklin & Marshall since 2002. The selective liberal arts school in Lancaster, Pa., has about 2,100 students.

Fry replaces Drexel president Constantine Papadakis, who died last April of complications from lung cancer.

Former trustees board chairman C.R. “Chuck” Pennoni has been serving as Drexel’s interim president since then.
