INTELLIGENCER NEW ERA

In “Insurance shirkers pass burden to you”, Jeff Hawkes says “But if the Supreme Court ultimately rules that Congress somehow offended the Constitution by insisting that people of means pay their fair share for ready access to the world’s best health care, I say let’s amend the Constitution.”

WATCHDOG: Is Hawkes speaking of one of about sixteen countries whose health care system are ranked superior to the US’s when he refers to “the world’s best health care”?

As for the Supreme Court ruling the health care legislation as unconstitutional, the likely outcome would be increased interest in adopting a single payer system, perhaps including everyone under Medicare. The Republicans should be careful about what they ask!
