Article “Future of air service here hot topic” reports:  “The Essential Air Service program has a friend in Washington, D.C.

“He’s not just any old friend. He’s Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood.

“And Cape Air is cautiously optimistic that LaHood will preserve the EAS subsidy for Lancaster Airport that enables the airline to fly here.”

WATCHDOG: The Lancaster public doesn’t want local air service.  How do we know?  The airport would have it if people were prepared to pay for it.

If one doesn’t want to make the two hour trip to Philadelphia, Harrisburg International Airport is an excellent alternative and only 45 minutes away.
