Front page article “New details emerge about sale of Harrisburg incinerator to Lancaster County waste authority” reports:
“The county waste authority approved agreements Thursday to purchase Harrisburg’s troubled, debt-ridden, trash-burning incinerator for $130.7 million.”
WATCHDOG: Big news: The LCSWMA that has negotiated the acquisition of the Harrisburg Incinerator has now approved the acquisition of the incinerator.
Not a single word questioning the wisdom of committing approximately $200 million of Lancaster county tax payer’s money to this ambitious venture.
If this editorial posturing as a news article on behalf of LCSWMA and its president Jim Warner revolts you, for an anecdote we suggest a visit to NewsLanc’s “Intelligencer Journal New Era hits a reporting low for 2013”.
