Jeff Hawkes writes in a column “Change of heart, change of policy change of column” :
“I thought I would be using this space today to disagree with my employer, Harold E. Miller, president of Lancaster Newspapers Inc.
“Like a lot of you, I felt Miller made a big mistake when he initially defended the advertising department’s rejection of an engagement announcement for Jeffrey Clouser and Brent Weaver of Rapho Township.
“But then Miller changed his mind. I was delighted, even though it did mean I had to scrap what I planned to say today.”
WATCHDOG: A wag of the tail for Miller.
Can we next expect his long overdue apology for the Lancaster Newspapers Inc.’s sorry role during the Convention Center planning controversy?
And will Lancaster Newspapers Inc. and Dale High, indirectly partners in Penn Square Patners, acknowledge their disingenuous and rapacious past actions and agree to make up the annual Convention Center deficit and to adjust their absurdly one sided agreements with the Convention Center Authority?
