How the rich serve prison time

Dennis Kozlowski  acknowledged to a parole board:  “ I stole money from  Tyco, and I stole a lot of moneyi, and…I’m very sorry I did that.” According to an AP account “…he was found guilty in 2005 of a more than $100 million fraud.”

So how does Kozlowski do time?  According to the same article “…he has been in a work-release program since January… He now gets day passes to work at a work force-training program on weekdays and spends weekends free, returning to a Manhattan prison on Sundays.”

For a $100 million, you could get tens of thousands to volunteer for the same punishment!
