House panel take steps to launch impeachment proceedings against AG Kane

PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER: …Rep. Ron Marsico (R., Dauphin), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said the panel is expected to vote Tuesday on whether to authorize an investigation into whether Kane’s “actions in office merit impeachment.”

The Senate is exploring whether Kane, whose law license was temporarily suspended after she was criminally charged, can continue to carry out the duties of her office while under suspension…

Kane has called the Senate process unconstitutional, and has said the only legal way to remove her is through impeachment… (more)

EDITOR:  Finally, this is the appropriate venue.  Now let’s hope that the Assembly and Senate will allow her a full and fair trial… if they dare.

  1. What a witch hunt for AG Kane! Unbelievable the lengths someone is going to to keep the emails and their trails out of the public eye!

  2. You either keep missing, or ignoring, the fact that her predecessor did far more criminally chargeable actions, and failed to properly act upon information of child abuse for personal political gain, while his cronies turned a blind eye. That is indeed a clear, at least to anyone who has followed the antics of the AG Department since Corbett first was elected, double standard of prosecution, persecution and character assassination.

It’s all good old boy driven because Kane dared to challenge their porn ring and brought some high people (like McCaffery) down. But again, this really is more about what Beemer has to hide – or his handlers have to hide – for him to oppose an outside investigation into all of it.

One possibly reason is an outsider, with no political connections to protect, might just find that all this stuff being claimed about Kane is nothing more than political witch hunting because she pissed off the old boys network.
