Heat speeds harvest, but York-area crops are hungry for rain

…Orchards are enjoying an earlier than normal peach crop in York County this year.

In fact, the harvest of most fruit crops is about three to four weeks ahead of schedule in south central Pennsylvania, according to the Adams County Fruit Growers Association.
