HARRISBURG PATRIOT-NEWS: …On Monday, receiver William Lynch sent a letter to City Council President Wanda Williams in which he asked the council to immediately enact several aspects of the city’s financial recovery plan it has refused to move on.
They include filling two city government positions — director of communications and assistant solicitor — and an increase in the city’s earned income tax…
The council also has attempted to use the items as leverage with the state, to seek more input into the recovery process and to ask for a criminal probe of the city’s financial situation… (more)
EDITOR: Lynch is a long time crony of Gov. Tom Corbett. The last thing Corbett wants is a criminal probe of the city’s financial situation because this could lead to many other improprieties by both parties over the decades. This is just another cover up by Corbett, a trait since he was attorney general.
