Haiti poll figures predict victory for ‘Sweet Micky’

Early reports of the preliminary results suggested the singer won a decisive victory over former first lady Mirlande Manigat, Reuters and AFP reported.

The two candidates could hardly be more different: Ms Manigat, 70, is a softly spoken university professor.

That is in stark contrast with her younger opponent, 50, a roguish performer notorious for dropping his trousers on stage, and who admits to a past of smoking marijuana and crack cocaine…
