GOP group revises ad critical of AG candidate Kathleen Kane

PITTSBURG POST-GAZEETE: After taking aim at Pennsylvania’s Democratic attorney general candidate over her alleged work on two sexual assault cases, a national Republican group is revising the critical television ad it’s airing in Philadelphia.

The 30-second spot blasts Kathleen Kane, a former Lackawanna County prosecutor, saying that she reached weak plea deals in those local cases.

Ms. Kane’s campaign fired back that the ad — which the Republican State Leadership Committee so far has spent more than $550,000 to air on Philadelphia networks — is wrong in stating that she prosecuted those particular cases…  (more)

  1. Freedom of the press means you don’t have to tell the whole truth. The press is licensed to assassinate your character, besmirch your reputation, and associate you with dishonorable people, all to get a story in print and sell advertising or participate in a vendetta. Shameful.
