Good news for the Convention Center

The 2010 revenues generated by the County Hotel Room Rental Tax is  $428,969  more than proceeds in 2009.   ($4,572,630 vs. $4,143,661.)

Also the interest rates on the bondsare significantly lower than had originally been  projected at the time that their issuance.

  1. Big question. Since hotel revenue taxes are supporting the convention center is it possible to learn what the tax assessment is on the hotel and what revenue such a tax would bring in to the city coffers? The mayor is always crying about tax exempt properties but he was quick to leave the hotel tax exempt.
