My adult daughter called while I was handing out newsletters at Central Market to say she saw, what appeared to be our cat, lying by the roadside across from our house.
By the time I returned half an hour later, there was no sign of the cat.
It might have dragged itself onto the expansive grounds of the house across the road from ours, but I am not going to venture there to look.
Why not? That is the home that Franklin and Marshall College provides for its presidents. F & M’s patrol cars pass by frequently. Publisher Ron Harper got thrown to the ground and then incarcerated by F & M security for simply legally walking on the right-of-way in front of the house.
I am not going to run the risk of going onto the property itself.
Good-bye kitty cat.
