Another poll has been released showing Republicans with an advantage over Democrats. In a new Gallup survey, 44 percent of Americans say Republicans would do a better job of solving whichever problem they see as the nation’s most important, while 37 percent choose Democrats.
The 7 percentage-point spread is the largest favoring Republicans since January 1995.
Meanwhile, unemployment has surpassed the economy in general as the nation’s most important problem, respondents say. The poll shows that 39 percent of them see unemployment as the No. 1 problem, compared to 29 percent for the economy…
