End rallies and negotiate, says ex-Egypt PM

ALJAZEERA: [Hisham ] Qandil, who served as prime minister under the deposed president [Mohamed ] Morsi, said the interim government needed to “clear the atmosphere” and set right perceived injustices since Morsi was toppled last month.
He called for:

• The release of all detainees arrested following anti-Morsi protests that began on June 30.
• An end to the legal procedings and the freezing of assets against those arrested.
• The forming of a fact-finding mission into the deaths of scores of pro-Morsi deomstrators at the Republican Guard Club on July 8.

Qandil said a delegation must visit Morsi in custody to check on his health and wellbeing. Morsi has not been seen since the coup last month, and his whereabouts are known… (more)
