Drop in Penn State applications might not have anything to do with Sandusky scandal

HARRISBURG PATRIOT NEWS:  …Executive Director for Admissions Anne Rohrbach said in an interview last week that the university projects an applicant pool for 2013-14 — the first full admissions cycle in the post-Jerry Sandusky, post-Joe Paterno era — of about 70,000.

Looked at in a light most favorable to Penn State, that would be the university’s fourth-best total ever.

But on the other hand, it also would be a one-year drop of 12.7 percent from the 78,873 applications received last year…  (more)
