The Watchdog entered the polling site with smug determination to make a point to all in attendance. He decided that he would not display his personal identification as a protest against what he considers a ‘Jim Crow’ and likely unconstitutional law being tested (but not mandatory) on this Primary Day.
Ready to ‘huff and puff’, he was greeted by name and asked to sign the voter registry. Expecting to be asked for his identification as had the person ahead of him, instead he heard the lady say “I know better than to ask you for identification, Mr. Field.”
What a let down!
