[The following is from a frequent attendee at public meetings.]
When the wealthiest corporations in Lancaster County claimed they couldn’t afford to pay real estate taxes on a hotel built more than half with taxpayer dollars – and the rest guaranteed by taxpayers – it made me angry enough to overcome my dislike of politics. When my wife and I personally saw Dale High literally throw a temper tantrum when he didn’t get his own way with the school board, it cemented our opposition. Now, my conscience will not allow me to ignore what is going on.
Now that I know just how unreasonable this entire situation is, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I did nothing but sit at home while these situations continue to unfold during public meeting after public meeting after public meeting.
