Lancaster County Board of Commissioners and County Coroner invite the public to tour facility

LANCASTER COUNTY (October 11, 2012) – The Lancaster County Commissioners and County Coroner invite the public to tour the new Forensic Center recently constructed at 2080 Spring Valley Road, Lancaster, PA. Spring Valley Road connects Rohrerstown Road and Good Drive.

An open house will be held on Sunday, October 21 from 1-4 p.m. The 13,200 sq. ft building will replace the morgue located at Conestoga View. The new building is located in East Hempfield Township on the Lancaster General suburban health campus. The building will become fully functional by November 1 when the transition occurs from the Conestoga View site.

This will be an opportunity to view a modern Forensic Center. The building contains the administrative offices, forensic labs and autopsy suite. This facility will provide a level of service which is unprecedented in Lancaster County and allow for the highest level of professional evaluation to ascertain the cause of death of loved ones.

Parking will be provided at the Health Campus directly across the street from the Forensic Center along Spring Valley Road. Watch for signs. It will be necessary to walk to the site from the parking lot. Individuals who have handicap stickers on their vehicles will be permitted to park near the Forensic Center building.”

If they had instead chosen Wednesday, October 31, they could have had a great Halloween blast!
