WITF: As Penn State’s Board of Trustees looks at potentially reforming its own governance, Governor Corbett is throwing his support behind two proposed changes.
The governor says he supports a plan to take away his voting ability on the panel.

EDITOR: The governor should not be on the board at all, because he is an intimidating presence.
Moreover, the board should be reduced to about a dozen members, perhaps two from the university, and the other nine elected in staggered three year terms.
A board of over thirty-person is too large to be affective.
