PITTSBURGH TRIBUNE: …Nearly half of Republicans — 49 percent — say [Gov. Tom] Corbett is doing an “excellent” or “good” job, up from 38 percent in January, according to the Franklin & Marshall College poll. Fifty-three percent say he deserves to be re-elected.
But [Tom] Wolf, a York businessman and former state revenue secretary, holds a commanding 22 percentage point lead among all registered voters, the poll found.
“That’s a pretty big hurdle to overcome,” said G. Terry Madonna, director of the poll, noting the gap remains unchanged from a trio of polls released in early June that showed Corbett down 20 to 25 percentage points… (more)
